Freelance Artist and Graphic Designer taking on a wide variety of artistic and advertisement jobs, working primarily on a client-to-client basis. Jobs include everything from short-term contract work to one-time art/design requirements as requested by clients. I’ve also maintained numerous creative personal projects as well as managing 3 online personal t-shirt brands.

Art Director/Graphic Design Specialist - AVAD LLC

October 2007 – April 2011, Van Nuys, CA

Design Director, I collaborated with VP of Marketing to implement AVAD in-house graphic design department from ground up. From there, I became involved and responsible for the design of weekly sales strategies and promotions including the art direction/design of all internet advertising as well as all self-promotional AVAD marketing materials, D2B Building Program, AVAD System Design and Vendo-palooza.

Other duties included: The collaboration with individual vendors in generating successful sales and promotional materials, (brochures,internet advertisements, flyers, dealer promotions), trade show graphics and various advertising materials, the development of in-store selling guides, mailers, catalogs, brochures and POP/POS advertisements and product development and package design for private label/in-house brands (FlexBin, ProConnect and Proflex Cables).

Vendors included: Samsung, Panasonic, Optoma, Crestron, Panamax, Lutron, SiriusXM Radio, Denon, Marantz and TiVo.

Creative Director/Lead Graphic Designer - Marketing Matters Inbound

March 2006 – October 2007, St. Louis, MO

Lead Designer involved and responsible for generating and designing marketing strategies/campaigns

regarding a wide array of advertising including: TV, radio and print media.

Other duties included: Oversee, managed all creative projects per client specifications, design and production regarding direct mailers/brochures, concept/design of a wide variety of ROP/display newspaper and magazine advertisements, collaborated with clients in developing effective corporate ID packages, develop and design self-promotional marketing materials (print and web) as well as being involved in concept/direction/creation of television commercials, scripting and storyboards.

Clients included: Bassett Furniture, Baker Pool and Spa, Surdyke Yamaha, Car X, Bandanas BBQ, Cope Marine and Brown & Crouppen Law Firm.

Sr. Graphic Designer of Product Design and Development - May Merchandising Company

March 2000 – March 2006, St. Louis, MO

Originally hired into the Production Department, my primary task was type-setting and page assembly for the department store Direct Mail catalogs. After 2 years, I was promoted into the MMC Packaging and Labeling department. Once there my duties included: Conceptualizing and designing branding for proprietary labels and hang tags, (Sun Covers Swimwear, Christie Brooks, Ideology, IE Relaxed and Identity), package design for proprietary brands, (BBQ Essentials, Retro Barware and Nutcracker Village), providing illustrations and concepts for product development of proprietary brands and coordinating/styling photoshoots of developed products with staff photographers.

Additional Skills: Through my various professional design experiences, I have extensive working knowledge in generating innovative online advertising content, Copywriting/Proofing and Social Media Marketing. Also, I have a professional understanding of current design applications including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign along with working knowledge of Dreamweaver, Word, Powerpoint and Excel in PC and Mac platforms.
